Privacy Policy
Hivebreaker · last updated 24 September 2026
Hivebreaker is a small game made by one person. This policy says exactly what the game sends,
who receives it, and how to have it removed. It describes what the code actually does.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress - coins, ships, achievements, settings and a pilot name - is saved on your own
device. It is not an account, there is no password, and nothing about it is sent anywhere except
as described below. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
What the game sends to our server
When a run ends, the Android and iPhone versions send the result to the leaderboard at
hivebreaker-api.recepozen.com. That is:
| Sent | What it is |
| Pilot ID | A random identifier created on your device the first time you play. It
is not derived from your phone, your account or anything about you, and it identifies nothing
outside this game's leaderboard. |
| Pilot name | The name shown on the leaderboard. The game picks one at random
(“Pilot-1837”); you may change it to anything you like. |
| Run result | Score, waves reached, ship flown, kills, damage taken, time spent
fighting, and the cards and weapons the run was built from. |
| Game version | So an old build's scores can be told apart from a new one's. |
If you send feedback from the menu, that message is stored together with your pilot ID and
name, your device model, your operating system version, and a summary of your last run - the
things that make a bug report readable.
Our server keeps a hashed form of the network address a submission arrives
from. It is hashed with a secret salt and the address itself is never written down. It exists to
stop one person flooding the leaderboard, and it is not used to identify anyone.
We do not ask for, and have no way to learn, your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts,
photos, location or payment details.
Advertising
The Android and iPhone versions show ads through Google AdMob. Some are
shown between runs; others you choose to watch in exchange for something in the game. Google
receives and uses data of its own for this, including your device's advertising ID. What Google
does with it is described in
Google's privacy policy.
On an iPhone, the advertising ID is shared only if you allow it when the game asks. You can
change that at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for
your consent before any personalised ad is shown, using Google's own consent form. You can change
that answer at any time from Privacy options in the game's settings.
Our own server has nothing to do with advertising and receives none of this.
The browser version
Played on a games portal such as CrazyGames, Hivebreaker sends nothing to our server:
the leaderboard and feedback are turned off there. Your progress is saved by the portal, and any
ads are the portal's own. That portal's privacy policy governs what it collects.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from
them. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and it will be deleted.
How long it is kept, and how to have it removed
Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the leaderboard exists. Write to
hivebreaker@recepozen.com with your pilot name and we will delete your entries
and any feedback you have sent. You do not have to give a reason.
Changes
If what the game collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
